Amplify the whispers of your soul,
Surround yourself with things that grow.
~ Luna Jade

I’ve been a very busy girl lately, but I have made time to manifest one of my visions: creating an inspirational oasis in our backyard… one filled with living energy.

I have been wanting to do this for a LONG time, but the tugging on my soul became undeniable with the coming of spring this year, so I made it happen (with Keith’s loving support and assistance). Each step I took revealed the next to be taken. And the plan is still unfolding (isn’t that the way it is with everything?)

As if knowing its important role in our new backyard retreat, my little organic container garden has finally responded to my nurturing and is thriving (and growing). I can proudly say that I no longer think I have a black thumb… it is most decidedly a vibrant green *YAY*
(One of my secrets… I usually sing when when I’m out there, especially when I am tending to the plants. They seem to like that… as do the ducks :)

Though still a work in progress, our little oasis has already become a place of peace in our home… a wonderful spot for reading, contemplation, meditation, qigong, etc. under the new gazebo. Or to sit and relax at the end of the day, breathing in the living goodness from all the plants around us, letting any stress and cares melt away. Nothing soothes your soul like surrounding yourself with nature…. and a soothed and centered soul sings. (ok, I couldn’t resist the alliteration :)

Most importantly, it makes a wonderful songwriting and rehearsal space :)

I am so pleased with how it is unfolding. I can’t wait to see what evolves next!
