Birthdays and holidays are made for wishes and celebration. During special times like these it has become my tradition to share these words I wrote in July of 2007, “My Wish For You”…
as a reminder for me and a gift for you.

Last year, I expanded on my original version (here’s the original version in a previous year’s birthday post) and added 2 new stanzas (2nd & 3rd to last stanzas in the poem) and created a new version of the poem graphic. I also added a new way to share the gift with you – as an iPad Wallpaper image.

More remembrances, revelations and foreshadowing *LOL*

Among other things… My first mention of the 1st phrase of my lyrics to “Wake Up!”, a song I finally wrote in 2010!
(My muse kept haunting me with that phrase until I finally wrote the song, about 2 years later. LOL)

Here’s a very rough reference demo – just eUke and me, recorded on my iPhone, ( a more “robust” version is in the recording process, along with much of my material… more to come :)

For my own part, each year I feel that I am living them more and more, which makes me feel very contentedly happy and hopeful for the future. To be sure, there will always be the occasional obstacles & challenges, in both events & people. But I look at it as a sign that I/we are drawing closer to our desired destination. And with each challenge, we learn how to rise above them and navigate more gracefully around the next one.

My wish for you is that you feel the same :)

This was an incredible experience for me, one that taught me that you CAN achieve what you perceive as impossible.

It’s a photo taken by Keith, my love. He captured the moment Lola, our injured butterfly, left her perch on my finger and flew for the first time after I replaced her broken wings on her left side. I never thought that I could fix a butterfly’s wing, or even that it was possible.

I was nervous, unsure of my ability, afraid that I might hurt her… but the hope that I could do something to help this beautiful creature, whose wings were badly damaged at birth, gave me the strength I needed to put aside my doubts and move forward. And it was a success!

This was an incredible experience for me, one that taught me that you CAN achieve what you perceive as impossible.

To Install iPad Wallpaper: When the wallpaper has loaded in the browser on your iPad, touch and hold on the image and select ’save image’ from the pop up menu.

Next, click on your iPad ‘Photos’ app and you’ll find the image in your ‘Saved Photos’ album. Tap on the image to open, tap on the send button in the top menu ( <- button image ) then choose ‘Use as Wallpaper’ and press the ‘Set Both’ button.
